Guides

Step-by-step guides for everyone who works with Sealed Print: setting up printers and computers, printing by email, the queue, the team and the plan.

Getting started

Getting started
Create your account, connect a printer, set up a computer and print your first page.
Add the printer URL on a computer
Set up Sealed Print as a network printer on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS, without installing a driver.
Print from phones and tablets (upload and sharing)
Upload documents in the web app, or install Sealed Print as an app and share files to it from any other app.

Connecting printers

Install the relay client and share printers
Make the printers of a Windows, macOS or Linux computer available as destinations.
Relay client on a NAS or server (Docker)
Run the relay client as a container on Synology, QNAP, Unraid or any server with Docker.
Connect an INFRA printer
Printers with IPP INFRA support fetch their jobs from Sealed Print themselves, without a computer in between.
Print to a printer on the internet (IPP push)
Sealed Print sends jobs directly to a printer that is reachable over the internet with IPP or IPPS.
Send jobs by email (email destinations)
A destination that sends each job as a PDF to fixed email addresses, for example accounting or an archive mailbox.
Print to several destinations at once (destination groups)
Combine destinations into a group, or address several destinations in one printer URL or email address.

Printing by email

Email to printer
Create an inbound email address, decide who may send to it, and print attachments and email texts.
Forward emails automatically
Forwarding rules in Gmail, Outlook and Microsoft 365 that send selected emails to your Sealed Print address.
Print incoming faxes
Let your fax-to-email service send received faxes to Sealed Print, so they come out of an office printer by themselves.

Queue and routing

The queue and routing
Follow jobs live, route jobs that need a destination, send them again, redirect deliveries and clean up.
Default destinations and automatic routing
Decide where jobs without a fixed destination go, for yourself and for all members.
Hold documents and use workflows
A printer URL that never prints by itself, and workflows that hold documents until someone continues them.
Electronic signatures
Have a document signed by email link, receive the sealed PDF and check signed documents, even on paper.

Team and administration

Members, roles and organizations
Invite colleagues, choose their role, share destinations with the team and work in several organizations.
Inbound and outbound channels
Switch on and off how jobs arrive in Sealed Print and how they leave it, for the whole organization.
API tokens
Let programs, scripts and automations use Sealed Print with an API token.

Plans and data protection

Plans and billing
Choose a plan, follow your usage, manage payment details and invoices, and cancel.
Retention and data protection
How long documents are kept, how to delete jobs, and how Sealed Print protects your documents.
Data processing agreement
The data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is concluded automatically. Where to find it and how to keep it on file.
