SealedPrint

Print from anywhere.

Print across network boundaries – without VPN, without port forwarding, without drivers. Every job lands in your queue and is delivered to the right printer.

Set up in three steps

No print server, no driver package, no change to your firewall.
  1. Step 1

    Connect a printer

Install the relay client on a computer or NAS next to the printer, or connect a printer with IPP INFRA support directly.

  2. Step 2

    Add the printer URL

Each source gets a personal printer URL. Add it as a network printer on Windows, macOS, Linux or ChromeOS.

  3. Step 3

    Print

Print from any program. The job appears in the queue and is delivered to the destination.

Print the way you work

Every way leads into the same queue.

Printed where it belongs

Destinations are the printers that pick up your jobs.
Relay client
Shares the printers of a Windows, macOS or Linux computer or a NAS. Installs in seconds and updates itself.
INFRA printers
Printers with IPP INFRA fetch their jobs from Sealed Print directly, without a computer in between.
IPP push
Sealed Print sends jobs to printers that are reachable over the internet and follows their status.

How Sealed Print works

Source, cloud, destination: the computer prints to the cloud, and a printer picks up the job.
No drivers
The printer URL is set up as a regular network printer on Windows, macOS or Linux.
No open ports
Printers and relay clients only connect outbound. The firewall on site stays closed.
Encrypted in transit
Every connection uses TLS. Documents are deleted after the retention period.
Live queue
Every job is visible with a preview and can be assigned to a specific printer.
One printer, many teams
A relay client provides the same printer to several organizations, cleanly separated.
Open standards
IPP Everywhere on the source side, PWG 5100.18 (INFRA) on the printer side.

Made for real situations

From the home office to the warehouse: wherever the printer is in a different network than the person who prints.
Remote work
Employees working from home print to the office printer through a printer URL – without VPN and without drivers.
Branch offices
Connect the printers of all locations to one queue and print from any site to any other – without site-to-site VPN.
Print API
Send documents to printers from your own software with a REST API – documented with OpenAPI, authenticated with API tokens.
Phones and Chromebooks
Print from phones, tablets and Chromebooks without a printer manufacturer's app: upload, share or use the built-in printing of ChromeOS.
Small teams
Share a printer with your team, colleagues or guests – without a print server, without an IT department and without drivers.

Security you can check

What Sealed Print protects, and how.
  • TLS on every connection
Printer URLs, the web app, the API and the relay client only communicate encrypted.
  • Outbound connections only
Relay clients and INFRA printers connect to Sealed Print. No open ports in your network.
  • Automatic deletion
Documents are deleted 7 days after the job has finished.
  • No secrets in plain text
Printer URLs, API tokens and device passwords are stored as hashes or encrypted, never in plain text.
  • Signed updates
The relay client only installs updates with a valid signature (Ed25519).
  • Hosted in Frankfurt
Servers, database and document storage run in a data center in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
